With Mother's day just around the corner (Mother's Day is May 13th, 2012) I wanted to do a really fun giveaway! I want to write up an article about great Frugal gift ideas for Mother's Day and while I was able to come up with quite a few (see 2 examples below), I wanted your input! Now, I know you guys are AWESOME and would send me your tips & ideas without an incentive, but I still have a cool prize pack i'd like to giveaway! It's ok if you repeat someone else, just try to be creative! There is also 2 optional entries which will add to your chances of winning and that is to "like" my Facebook Page and tweet about the giveaway! This giveaway will run from Today April 27th through Thursday May 3rd. I will then choose a winner at random (via Random.org) and will email them for their mailing information. Here's 2 quick Mother's Day Frugal Gift Ideas for ya before you enter & to get you thinking:

  1. How about creating a nice scrap book, photo book, or memory book? Online retailers like MixBook offer up awesome deals on Photo Books often for either very cheap or sometimes even free! They even have cool scrapbooks starting at just $6.99! Or you could shop your local thrift stores to find an old scrap book (mom's love vintage) and put something together.
  2. Don't live near mom? How about making a video! If you have kiddos include them too, mom's love grand children! :) Make a video about all of the reasons you love her, sing & dance, be goofy, be sentimental.. do whatever you want! Edit your video and add a background song if you want and put it all on a DVD and send it in the mail! No DVD? Email it!

My mom has cleaned houses for a living for over 50 years so I clean her house from top to bottom for her until it sparkles. I also like to make her a special supper where we have a picnic outside and just enjoy being together.

If your mom is older and living alone, make up and freeze some dinners that can be heated in the microwave.  She'll love them.

There are always Groupons for a Glamour Shots photo shoot to make your mom feel young and gorgeous, like a supermodel for a day! :) That's my frugal tip!

Well this year I painted some beautiful flowers on some little rocks for moms garden sent her a plant and crafted up a beaded neck less and sent some seeds from my garden that she don’t have my mother lives in Michigan and I’m in Airizona we miss eachother so much I am an only child with an only child too!! Too much love!!:-)
